I live in rural New South Wales, Australia with my partner Anita and our dogs.
My father was employed by the SPCA in New Zealand and from him I learned the good, the bad, the ugly and fortunately the funny about animal care. This helped foster my love of dogs.
I fell in love with Afghan Hounds in the late seventies when I was fortunate enough to have one come into my life. Toffee was found straying in the streets of West Auckland with his Mother, his owner no longer wanted them. I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time and Toffee entered my life. The rest, as they say is history. 🙂
Irish Wolfhounds entered my life in 2009/10 when I was fortunate enough to handle two lovely dogs in the ring and meet one in the home of Jacky Harnett, the Breeder of my Afghans. Within a very short time, much shorter than I expected Zac – Ch Wulfgar Zachary entered my life.
Anita’s first love is Salukis. You will find all her information on her website Al Shi’ra Salukis.
In addition to showing my Afghan Hounds and Irish Wolfhound, I am a volunteer obedience instructor and on the committee’s of various Dog Clubs.
Unfortunately I do not Breed either Afghans or Irish Wolfhounds, my passion is living with them, showing them and Lure coursing them.
