Click image for larger picture Toffee was a rescue though they weren’t called rescues back when he came into my life in the early 80’s. He came from the pound where he had been left with his mother. Apparently the person who owned them thought they were too much trouble so he simply let them go. Toffee was a lovely boy whose time with me was far too short. Toffee is responsible for my lifelong passion for Afghan Hounds. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Click image for larger picture Aria was my second Afghan hound who I purchased from a breeder. Unfortunately I never received her papers from the breeder so don't know her pedigree. Aria was an escape artist. The locals all got to know her very well and would always call to let me know where she was. I even had to go and pick her up from the local brothel one evening. Aria was also known by the people at the Cathedral Square Markets in Christchurch as she would accompany me to our stall there. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Click image for larger picture Chloe is my first show dog. She is beautiful and fiery, the attractive blonde of the house. At lure coursing Chloe shows a dedication to the chase you rarely see in an Afghan Hound these days. She is also an efficient hunter and quite capable of dispatching a rabbit. Chloe titled easily with several in group and in show class awards. She is now taking a ring break while her coat recovers from her first season.
